As a Staff, Systems and Infrastructure Engineer (Vulnerability Management), you will serve as the technical lead for the APEX Vulnerability Management team. You will be responsible for securing the technology used by associates across hundreds of thousands of computers, virtual desktops, and collaboration tools. Your daily work involves writing remediation standards, partnering with InfoSec on risk ratings, and leading responses to actively exploited vulnerabilities. You will build self-healing automation, runbooks, and scripts to ensure systems remain patched. The role requires hands-on experience with endpoint management tools like Intune, Jamf, SCCM, or Tanium, along with proficiency in Python and PowerShell. You will solve the technical problem of maintaining enterprise-wide security by automating software delivery platforms and managing configuration across diverse operating systems and hardware.
Write and maintain remediation standards, baselines, and decision rules for all APEX technology.
Partner with InfoSec to determine risk ratings and prioritize actively exploited vulnerabilities.
Lead urgent cross-team remediation efforts for critical findings with short policy deadlines.
Identify and fix devices that are failing to receive necessary software patches.
Provide architectural input on software delivery platforms to enable automated fixes.
Convert repeat fixes into runbooks, scripts, and self-healing automation.
Mentor engineers and review the team’s highest-risk technical changes.
What we're looking for
Option 1: Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, information systems, information technology, or related area and 4 years’ experience in technology infrastructure engineering.
Option 2: 6 years’ experience in technology infrastructure engineering across areas such as compute, storage, network, mobility or virtualization-related technologies.
7+ years of experience in systems engineering and vulnerability management across large enterprise device fleets.
Hands-on knowledge of endpoint management tools such as Intune, Jamf, SCCM, or Tanium.
Scripting skills in Python, PowerShell, or similar languages for automation.
Experience writing technical standards and influencing teams you do not manage.
Master’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, information systems, information technology, or related area and 2 years of relevant experience in configuration management (preferred).
