What you'll do
- Drive the design and bring up of manufacturing software, drivers, and diagnostics tools for new hardware products.
- Define functional, stability, and performance tests for various hardware and software interactions.
- Scope development requirements for drivers, applications, protocols, and frameworks needed for internal and manufacturing validation.
- Own end-to-end system validation for new product inventory (NPI).
- Create tools and scripts to facilitate data analysis efforts.
- Analyze hardware build data to identify design flaws and coverage gaps affecting manufacturing quality.
- Provide leadership and coordination during the debugging of issues found within the test suite.
- Support new product development builds at both local sites and vendor locations.
What we're looking for
- 10 years of experience with a BS in Electrical/Computer Engineering or relevant work experience.
- Strong understanding of embedded hardware components and hardware/software interactions.
- Strong background in computer architecture, bus technologies (I2C, SPI), and I/O protocols (PCIe, USB).
- Scripting and programming skills in C/C++ and Python.
- Prior experience with embedded software development (preferred).
- 10 years of experience with an MS in Electrical/Computer Engineering (preferred).
- Knowledge of validation of functional and stability aspects of SoC interaction with OS SW (preferred).
- Manufacturing experience and prior exposure to working with contract manufacturers (preferred).
