As a System Engineer 2 (TG) within the Northrop Grumman Mission Systems team, you will apply systems engineering principles throughout the entire lifecycle phases including concept, development, production, utilization, support, and retirement. You will be responsible for the technical integrity, quality, and completeness of deliverables across various ISO/IEC15288 process areas such as stakeholder requirements definition, architectural design, integration, verification, and risk management. Your daily work involves interacting with government officials to resolve technical considerations and communicating with program personnel and senior executives. You will perform analysis of technical alternatives, provide preliminary recommendations, and develop work products for project and enterprise processes. The role requires expertise in analyzing user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements, as well as knowledge of CNO development concepts within the domain of secure, integrated, multi-domain systems.
Apply systems engineering principles across all lifecycle phases including concept, development, production, and retirement.
Interact with government officials regarding technical considerations, problems, issues, and conflicts.
Communicate technical information to program personnel, government overseers, and senior executives.
Ensure the technical integrity, quality, and completeness of deliverables for ISO/IEC 15288 process areas.
Perform systems engineering activities and prepare work products for technical, project, and enterprise processes.
Analyze technical alternatives for projects and provide preliminary recommendations.
Translate user requirements into specific software design and performance requirements.
What we're looking for
Must possess an active and current TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.
U.S. Citizenship is required for this position.
High School Diploma with 8 years of experience, or a Bachelor's degree with 4 years of experience, or a Master's degree with 3 years of experience, or a Doctorate with 1 year of experience.
Must be able to apply systems engineering principles across all lifecycle phases including concept, development, production, and retirement.
Ability to perform analysis of technical alternatives and provide preliminary recommendations for projects.
Experience analyzing user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements is preferred.
Knowledge of CNO development concepts is preferred.
