The System Engineer 2 joins the Mission Systems team to apply systems engineering principles throughout the entire systems life cycle, including concept, development, production, utilization, support, and retirement. The role involves interacting with the government regarding technical considerations, issues, and conflicts while communicating with program personnel and senior executives. Key responsibilities include ensuring the technical integrity and quality of deliverables across twenty-five process areas defined by ISO/IEC15288, such as stakeholder requirements definition, architectural design, risk management, and configuration management. The successful candidate will perform analysis of technical alternatives, make preliminary recommendations, and assist in preparing work products for agreement or enterprise process areas. Required skills include experience with ISO/IEC15288 processes, analyzing user requirements to derive software design, and CNO development concepts.
Apply systems engineering principles throughout the entire systems life cycle from concept to retirement.
Interact with the Government regarding technical considerations, problems, issues, and conflicts.
Communicate technical information to program personnel, government overseers, and senior executives.
Ensure the technical integrity, quality, and completeness of deliverables across ISO/IEC15288 process areas.
Perform systems engineering activities for stakeholder requirements, architectural design, integration, and verification.
Analyze technical alternatives for projects and provide preliminary recommendations.
Develop and deliver work products for project, technical, and enterprise process areas.
What we're looking for
High School Diploma with 8 years of experience; Bachelor's degree with 4 years of experience; Master's degree with 3 years of experience; or Doctorate with 1 year of experience.
Active and current TS/SCI with Polygraph.
U.S. Citizenship is required.
Perform systems engineering activities and prepare work products in Technical Process Areas associated with ISO/IEC 15288.
Perform systems engineering activities and prepare work products in Project and/or Technical Process Areas associated with ISO/IEC 15288.
Assist in performing systems engineering activities in the ISO/IEC 15288 Agreement or Enterprise Process Areas.
Perform analysis of technical alternatives and develop work products in any of the ISO/IEC 15288 Process Areas.
Experience analyzing user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements (preferred).
