System Administrator

What you'll do

• Administer Windows 11, Windows Server, Active Directory, and VMware vSphere environments including virtual machines and host management.
• Manage account access, Group Policy, patching, and routine backup and recovery operations.
• Implement security hardening, remediation, and encryption tasks in coordination with cybersecurity personnel.
• Provide technical support for Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Ubuntu workstations and servers.
• Troubleshoot server, storage, backup, and connectivity issues across a geographically distributed wide-area network.
• Track and resolve technical issues using Jira while following established change management workflows.
• Support server deployments, recovery testing, and virtualization migrations to Hyper-V or other platforms.
• Maintain runbooks, configuration records, and troubleshooting notes to improve repeatable processes and team knowledge.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor’s degree with 4-8 years of experience or equivalent relevant industry-standard certifications and experience.
• Active, final Secret clearance and current DoD 8570 / 8140 IAT level II or higher certification such as CompTIA Security+.
• Hands-on Windows workstation and server administration with strong Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and permissions knowledge.
• Hands-on experience administering VMware and vSphere in an enterprise environment, including virtual machines, hosts, and routine troubleshooting.
• Hands-on Linux experience including familiarity with Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Ubuntu, software installation, permissions, and services.
• Experience with Risk Management Framework (RMF) and maintaining compliance artifacts such as SCAP scans, STIGs, and Vulnerability reports.
• Experience using IT ticketing systems, change management procedures, and maintaining technical documentation.
• Practical Microsoft Hyper-V administration, Dell storage platforms, or PowerShell/Bash scripting (preferred).
