Leidos is seeking a Systems Administrator to join its Intel Security Sector team at the junior level. In this role, you will perform builds, installs, configurations, and troubleshooting in both virtual and physical environments, ensuring system security and performance optimization. Key responsibilities include developing scripts for patching and configuration tasks, setting up administrator accounts, maintaining documentation, and collaborating with senior technicians to resolve hardware and software issues. You will also provide technical assistance to other departments and communicate system status updates to users proactively. The ideal candidate has experience with Windows Server (2016-2022), Active Directory, Group Policy Objects, and PKI infrastructure, along with strong verbal and written communication skills. Additional desirable skills include familiarity with Kubernetes/Rancher, Cloudera, Chef, Salt, Ansible, Elasticsearch, GitLab, and scripting languages. This position supports the Defense Intelligence Enterprise by designing and deploying software applications for DIA/NDOC OSINT production.

What you'll do

  • Perform builds, installs, and configurations in virtual and physical environments.
  • Develop scripts to support patching, configuration, and other infrastructure tasks.
  • Monitor system health, network configuration, and perform preventive maintenance.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and correct hardware and software issues including network connectivity.
  • Provide technical assistance to work groups and maintain inter-departmental relations.
  • Communicate with users regarding system outages and delays impacting business functions.
  • Participate in the creation and ongoing maintenance of documentation for incident resolution.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
  • At least 2 years of Systems Administration experience
  • Experience with Windows Server (2016, 2019, 2022) and Windows Desktop (10/11)
  • Proficiency in Windows Patching and Package management
  • Strong knowledge of Group Policy Objects, Active Directory, and PKI infrastructure
  • Ability to work effectively in an Agile project management environment
  • Experience with scripting languages and configuration management tools
