Senior Staff Core Infrastructure Engineer, AI, Search & Knowledge Platforms

What you'll do

• Design, develop, and operate large-scale backend infrastructure for information intelligence and search features.
• Optimize massive-scale data pipelines to process large volumes of data.
• Analyze web pages to extract critical features for indexing and ranking.
• Apply statistical analysis to improve link selection, freshness, and retrieval rates.
• Manage the end-to-end ownership of the Kubernetes cluster lifecycle, including networking and storage.
• Monitor key metrics and troubleshoot complex issues to ensure the health of critical infrastructures.
• Participate in an on-call rotation to maintain system reliability.

What we're looking for

• 10+ years of experience in software development for developing and operating large-scale cloud infrastructure.
• End to end ownership of the Kubernetes cluster lifecycle including control plane, container orchestration, networking, and storage.
• Proven experience designing, building, and operating large-scale distributed systems and backend services using cloud platforms like AWS/GCP.
• Solid understanding of networking protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, and HTTP in large-scale systems.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, and system design.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• BS, MS, or Ph.D. in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience with large-scale data processing, information retrieval, web search, or ranking systems (preferred).
