Staff Technical Program Manager, Hardware

What you'll do

• Lead vehicle New Product Introduction (NPI) and physical build programs with specialty automotive partners.
• Oversee prototype upfits, assembly milestones, and engineering change requests to ensure on-time platform delivery.
• Drive hardware and software integration strategies and implement rigorous validation plans for autonomy stacks.
• Establish and manage NPI material tracking frameworks and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems.
• Manage complex Bills of Materials (BOMs), component lead times, and hardware traceability from procurement to assembly.
• Direct vendor execution to ensure critical components meet quality standards and Statement of Work commitments.
• Align internal engineering disciplines with external partners to manage release gates and technical dependencies.

What we're looking for

• BS/MS in Engineering (CS, EE, Robotics, Mechanical) or equivalent hands-on background.
• 7+ years of system engineering experience leading multi-functional teams through early-stage technical ambiguity.
• Proven track record of managing external hardware vendors and suppliers to enforce SOW commitments and deliver complex components.
• Practical experience setting up or utilizing NPI material tracking frameworks, PLM systems, BOM structures, and inventory controls.
• Direct experience managing specialty automotive build partners, prototype vehicle upfits, or Tier-1/OEM integration programs (preferred).
• Deep familiarity with autonomous vehicle building blocks including sensing platforms, embedded compute, and vehicle bus architectures (preferred).
• Experience establishing hardware-software validation plans for experimental test beds or physical data collection fleets (preferred).
• Exceptional communication skills to drive priorities across complex, multi-organization environments without direct authority (preferred).
