Staff Systems Engineer

What you'll do

• Lead system-level technical investigations into complex issues spanning multiple subsystems, specifically the PET gantry.
• Define and manage cross-modality interfaces between PET, CT, and MR systems to ensure stability and validation.
• Drive system integration across hardware, firmware, embedded software, and application software developed by international teams.
• Improve product quality and reliability by contributing to integration and test strategies for performance and usability.
• Contribute to system architecture decisions regarding embedded software and hardware-abstraction layers.
• Translate complex system challenges into actionable technical approaches for engineering, product management, and clinical stakeholders.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to share systems expertise and strengthen the team's overall capabilities.
• Use Python or MATLAB for data analysis, data mining, and the development of engineering utilities.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Engineering, Physics, or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in systems engineering, system integration, product development, or a related technical role.
• Experience must involve complex medical devices or another highly regulated industry.
• Demonstrated experience investigating and resolving complex technical problems spanning multiple systems, subsystems, or engineering disciplines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to convey technical concepts to engineering teams and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively within large, cross-functional teams.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 10%.
