As a Staff Software Engineer in the newly established São Paulo engineering hub, you will join one of our Latin American teams to build robust capabilities for Onboarding (Consumer & Business) and Money Movement across diverse markets. Your day-to-day responsibilities include designing and implementing integrations with local banks, payment providers, and identity verification vendors, connecting the platform to various regional payment schemes, and optimizing onboarding workflows while ensuring compliance with local regulations. You will also collaborate closely with global teams to shape our KYC/KYB and money movement systems, participate in code reviews, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to the technical strategy for expanding into Latin American markets. This role requires expertise in Java, Python, or similar languages, proficiency in cloud services like AWS or Azure, and a deep understanding of financial regulations across LatAm countries.
Design and develop features for Consumer & Business Onboarding and Money Movement in Latin America.
Implement integrations with local banks, payment providers, and verification vendors across the region.
Connect Wise platform to various local payment schemes and networks in LatAm.
Propose high-quality technical designs and advocate for scalable, reliable solutions compliant with regional regulations.
Participate in code reviews and mentor less experienced engineers within the São Paulo engineering hub.
Troubleshoot complex technical issues related to Onboarding, Money Movement, and cross-border payments.
