What you'll do

Lead and coordinate the activities of other engineers to achieve project and service objectives.
Determine technical tasks and provide expert guidance on systems, solutions, and engineering strategy.
Design, estimate, and implement secure, scalable software services while ensuring high quality and reliability.
Proactively improve existing engineering structures, processes, and standards for the organization.
Evaluate implementation alternatives and trade-offs to contribute to the technical engineering roadmap.
Own the performance and availability of services by participating in on-call rotations and incident support.
Represent the company to external partners, customers, and industry organizations.
Mentor engineers across all levels while managing relationships with product and non-technical teams.

What we're looking for

Must have a Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must have at least 5 years of relevant experience.
Expert knowledge in distributed services and backend systems.
Advanced skills with RDBMS, NoSQL data stores, and caching solutions like Redis or Hazelcast.
Proficiency with messaging/queuing protocols such as SQS, Kafka, RabbitMQ, or Pulsar.
Experience building services on public clouds, preferably AWS, GCP, or Azure.
Experience managing infrastructure as code using Terraform.
Ability to lead projects, mentor engineering staff, and manage cross-functional relationships.
