What you'll do

Develop and drive the overall strategy for the System Catalog and CMDB to align with business goals.
Define and own the configuration data model, including classes, attributes, and dependency mappings.
Establish and enforce CMDB data governance, including CI lifecycle management and data-quality standards.
Lead the design and architecture of resilient, scalable catalog systems for on-premises and cloud environments.
Design and implement automated discovery and service mapping to maintain accurate data with minimal manual intervention.
Evaluate and implement cutting-edge technologies to enhance catalog capabilities, compliance, and visibility.
Mentor and coach the engineering community to strengthen technical expertise and foster professional growth.
Analyze costs and forecasts to support business plans and measure the outcomes of technical initiatives.

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or equivalent education or work experience.
10+ years of professional experience in software engineering.
8+ years of experience with architecture and design.
6+ years of experience with open-source frameworks.
4+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, or another cloud service.
Fluency in modern programming languages such as Go, Python, Typescript, and React.
Experience with SQL, NoSQL, and graph databases for modeling configuration items and dependencies.
Demonstrated experience building or owning a system catalog, service catalog, or configuration management at enterprise scale.
