What you'll do

Condense repetitive patterns into generalized, high-impact technical solutions.
Represent the company to external partners, customers, and industry organizations.
Provide technical advice to senior leaders regarding systems, strategy, and implementation trade-offs.
Design, estimate, and implement secure, scalable software services for the payments platform.
Own the performance and availability of services while participating in on-call rotations.

What we're looking for

Must have a Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must have at least 5 years of relevant experience.
Expert knowledge of distributed services and backend systems is required.
Advanced skills with RDBMS, NoSQL data stores, caching solutions, and messaging/queuing protocols are required.
Expertise in building services on public clouds such as AWS, GCP, or Azure is required.
Experience managing infrastructure as code using Terraform is preferred.
Ability to lead projects, mentor engineering staff, and manage relationships with cross-functional teams.
Proven ability to design, implement, and oversee the performance of scalable, fault-tolerant software services.
