What you'll do

Act as a project leader by coordinating the activities and technical tasks of other engineers.
Proactively improve existing engineering structures, processes, and standards for engineering rigor.
Design, estimate, and implement new and refactored software services that are secure and scalable.
Contribute to the technical engineering roadmap by assessing implementation alternatives and trade-offs.
Deliver high-quality code on time while following the standard software development life cycle.
Own the performance and availability of services and participate in on-call rotations.
Represent the company to external partners, customers, and industry organizations.
Provide technical leadership and advice to senior leaders on systems, solutions, and strategy.

What we're looking for

5+ years of relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Expert knowledge of distributed services and backend systems.
Advanced skills with RDBMS, NoSQL data stores, caching solutions, and messaging/queuing protocols like SQS, Kafka, RabbitMQ, or Pulsar.
Expertise in building services on public cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
Experience managing infrastructure as code using Terraform.
Ability to lead projects, mentor engineering staff, and manage relationships with Product and Engineering Operations teams.
Experience working with fault-tolerant and scalable distributed services and systems.
