What you'll do

Lead end-to-end initiatives for cloud networking, routing, CDN, and infrastructure security.
Architect and evolve CDN and edge delivery strategies for performance and cost efficiency.
Set direction for WAF and edge security controls to protect against DDoS and bot threats.
Own the architecture for Envoy- and Contour-based ingress and Nginx-based load-balancing services.
Develop and improve infrastructure-as-code and automation to manage networking configurations.
Troubleshoot complex network incidents, identify root causes, and implement preventive measures.
Mentor and coach engineers across the organization on networking design principles and best practices.
Coordinate engineering activities and determine technical tasks to achieve service objectives.

What we're looking for

Bachelor's and/or master's in computer science or a related field of study.
7+ years of experience in software development or a related field.
5+ years of experience operating distributed cloud network, routing, or edge infrastructure 24x7x365.
2+ years of technical leadership experience.
Deep hands-on experience designing, implementing, and supporting cloud networking and edge infrastructure at global scale (AWS preferred).
Deep expertise with CDN and edge delivery (AWS CloudFront or similar), WAF, and edge security.
Deep hands-on experience with Envoy, Contour, or similar service mesh/ingress controller technologies.
Deep hands-on experience with nginx or similar reverse proxy and load-balancing technologies.
Expert understanding of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, DNS, TLS/SSL, BGP/routing protocols, and load balancing algorithms.
Hands-on programming and scripting skills in Python, Go, and Bash.
Hands-on experience with containers and container orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes.
Strong communication skills to explain technical issues to a non-technical audience.
