What you'll do

Design, build, and operate cloud network and routing infrastructure across the AWS environment.
Build and tune cloud CDN and edge delivery using AWS CloudFront to improve global performance.
Configure and maintain WAF rules and edge security controls to protect against DDoS and bot attacks.
Operate and extend Envoy- and Contour-based ingress and service mesh for internal and external traffic.
Troubleshoot network incidents including latency, packet loss, routing failures, and TLS certificate issues.
Develop and improve infrastructure-as-code using Terraform to manage networking and routing configurations.
Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to product owners and other team members.
Document technical designs, runbooks, and operational best practices for the engineering team.

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field of study.
8+ years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
5+ years of experience in software development or a related field.
3+ years of hands-on experience with cloud networking including AWS VPC, Transit Gateway, Route 53, and ELB/ALB/NLB.
Hands-on experience with CDN and edge delivery services such as AWS CloudFront.
Experience configuring and operating WAF or other edge security tooling.
Experience with Envoy, Contour, or similar service mesh and ingress controller technologies.
Proficiency in programming and scripting using Python, Go, and Bash.
