What we're looking for
You must be located in the New York Metro Area for this hybrid position.
You must have 8+ years of experience designing, building, and operating large-scale distributed systems in production.
You must have experience operating event streaming systems like Kafka at scale, including knowledge of its internals such as storage engines and replication models.
You must be a strong engineer in Java, Go, or similar languages with expertise in concurrency and distributed systems.
You must possess strong fundamentals in Linux, networking, storage, and JVM-based systems to reason about performance and failure modes.
You should have experience with object-store-backed or diskless streaming architectures like WarpStream or AutoMQ.
You should have experience with multi-region streaming platforms and designing Tier-0 infrastructure migrations.
You must be proficient in using AI coding tools throughout the full software development lifecycle.
