Staff Software Engineer, Cloud Infrastructure

What you'll do

• Build and operate cutting-edge cloud-native infrastructure using public cloud technologies.
• Develop and deliver secure, highly available frameworks and platforms to simplify infrastructure complexity.
• Manage and operate Kubernetes infrastructure at a large scale.
• Develop and maintain developer APIs, CLIs, and cloud infrastructure automation tools.
• Optimize existing systems and services to improve performance and operational efficiency.
• Implement industry best practices in distributed systems to improve overall system availability.
• Manage autoscaling and capacity management tools for global cloud services.
• Debug production issues and solve complex technical problems within distributed systems.

What we're looking for

• You must have 10+ years of industry experience with a BS/Masters and 2+ years with a PhD, preferably in CS, or equivalent experience.
• You must have a proven track record of operating Kubernetes at scale.
• You must have a proven track record in developing and operating large-scale technical projects in collaboration with experienced engineers.
• You must have expertise with public cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure) and their Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) offerings.
• You must have familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• You must have a full-cycle developer mentality with experience building and operating high-scale, distributed systems throughout the software life cycle.
• You must have excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within and across engineering teams.
• You must have strong problem-solving abilities and solid production debugging skills.
