What you'll do

Design and develop scalable middleware reliability solutions that translate business requirements into production-grade system designs.
Produce extensible, maintainable code that enforces established coding patterns, security best practices, and performance requirements.
Build intelligent automation systems using AI/ML and LLM frameworks like LangChain and LangGraph.
Integrate AI-driven insights into reliability engineering workflows to eliminate toil and prevent recurring incidents.
Troubleshoot complex incidents, perform root cause analysis, and deploy fixes to prevent future occurrences.
Participate in on-call rotations and provide incident response guidance to the engineering team.
Mentor junior engineers on coding standards, engineering practices, and reliability tooling.
Lead code reviews to enforce quality and share design learnings with the broader team.

What we're looking for

Must have 5+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor's degree, 2+ years with an Advanced degree, or 0 years with a PhD.
Preferred to have experience with a Bachelor's degree, with an Advanced degree, or with a PhD.
Must have 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
Must have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Must be proficient in Python, Java, or Go to write production-quality, secure, and maintainable code.
Must have strong foundations in data structures, algorithms, systems design, and the software development lifecycle.
Must have experience with DevOps tools (Jenkins, Terraform, Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes), cloud platforms, and monitoring tools.
Must have experience mentoring engineers, leading code reviews, and performing root cause analysis.
