Staff Software Development Engineer

What you'll do

• Define and communicate the long-term application development strategy to align with organizational goals.
• Manage the application development team’s day-to-day work to ensure high-quality and timely delivery.
• Analyze industry trends and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for innovation and process improvement.
• Allocate resources and prioritize development projects based on skills, budget, and personnel.
• Conduct risk assessments and establish governance processes to ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Collaborate with senior management to translate business needs into technical application requirements.
• Communicate with external partners and vendors to align development efforts with customer expectations.
• Review and approve project deliverables to ensure they meet quality standards and technology strategy.

What we're looking for

• 7+ years of software development experience in enterprise/web applications.
• 5+ years of experience in React, React TypeScript, React JS, Python, Nodejs or other front-end frameworks.
• 5+ years of experience with Cloud Technologies like GCP, AWS, Azure, or other public cloud services.
• 3+ years of experience as a full stack developer in Java-based technologies including microservices, FAST API, and spring boot framework/REST.
• 3+ years of experience in Agile development practices.
• 3+ years of experience applying AI tools such as Claude, GitHub Copilot, or Amazon Q to accelerate software development.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (HS diploma + 4 years relevant experience).
• Experience leading projects or managing directs (preferred).
