Staff Quantum Algorithm Theorist

What you'll do

• Design novel and efficient quantum algorithms for practically useful problems on fault-tolerant systems.
• Characterize quantum speed-ups using computational complexity theory and comparisons against state-of-the-art classical methods.
• Optimize algorithms for early fault-tolerant architectures in coordination with compiler, error-correction, and hardware teams.
• Publish research findings in leading peer-reviewed journals and present at premier scientific conferences.
• Engage with academic collaborators to shape the intellectual direction of quantum algorithms research.
• Mentor students and postdocs while leading projects with junior team members.

What we're looking for

• Demonstrated research experience in the design and analysis of quantum algorithms.
• A track record of independent theoretical research with original contributions to the field.
• Solid foundation in quantum information theory, computational complexity, and linear algebra.
• Proficiency in at least one general-purpose programming language.
• Experience mentoring students and postdocs (preferred).
• Experience leading projects with junior team members (preferred).
• Strong publication record and experience serving on technical program committees or as a reviewer (preferred).
• Doctorate Degree.
