Software Developer for Quantum-Centric Supercomputing

What you'll do

• Design and implement workflow orchestration software and libraries for hybrid HPC–Quantum systems.
• Develop resource management, scheduling, and workload coordination APIs across distributed systems.
• Create and maintain interfaces between HPC job schedulers like Slurm or LSF and quantum runtimes.
• Build tools in Python, Rust, and C to support data movement, interoperability, and runtime monitoring.
• Participate in open-source development workflows including documentation, testing, and release processes.
• Contribute to internal engineering practices such as CI/CD and performance instrumentation.
• Manage software lifecycle tasks including feature enhancements and bug fixes for released products.

What we're looking for

• Doctorate Degree (preferred).
• Strong proficiency in Python and modern software engineering practices.
• Strong proficiency in at least one systems programming language such as C, C++, or Rust.
• Proven ability to understand user requirements, implement software, and manage post-release maintenance.
• Collaborative mindset to serve as a bridge between research organizations, clients, and vendors.
• Hands-on experience with HPC software (e.g., OpenMP, MPI, GPU) and resource managers (e.g., Slurm, PBS, Grid Engine) (preferred).
• Experience with quantum computing frontends and related ecosystems like Qiskit, OpenQASM, or CUDA-Q (preferred).
