Senior Software Developer, Quantum-Centric Supercomputing

What you'll do

• Design and implement components of workflow orchestration software and libraries for hybrid HPC–Quantum systems.
• Develop resource management, scheduling, and workload coordination APIs across distributed systems.
• Build interfaces between HPC job schedulers like Slurm or LSF and quantum runtimes.
• Develop tools in Python, Rust, and C to support data movement, workflow resilience, and runtime monitoring.
• Manage the full software lifecycle including requirement analysis, implementation, release, and post-release maintenance.
• Participate in open-source development workflows including documentation, testing, design reviews, and release processes.
• Contribute to internal engineering practices such as CI/CD, performance instrumentation, and interface design.

What we're looking for

• Doctorate Degree (preferred).
• Strong proficiency in Python and experience with modern software engineering practices.
• Strong proficiency in at least one systems programming language such as C, C++, or Rust.
• Proven ability to manage the full software lifecycle including requirements gathering, implementation, release, and maintenance.
• Collaborative mindset and strong communication skills to bridge gaps between research organizations, clients, and vendors.
• Experience with HPC software (OpenMP, MPI, GPU) and resource managers like Slurm, PBS, or Grid Engine (preferred).
• Knowledge of quantum computing concepts, frontends, and Linux systems performance analysis (preferred).
