What you'll do

  • Transition complex electromechanical systems from prototype to scalable production using New Product Introduction (NPI) principles.
  • Provide Design for Manufacturability and Assembly (DFM/DFA) feedback to engineering teams during early development.
  • Design and develop custom tooling, jigs, and fixtures for precision assembly and testing of core hardware.
  • Establish repeatable manufacturing process flows for battery integration, actuation systems, and energetics.
  • Define Manufacturing Bill of Materials (MBOM) and production routings within MES and ERP systems.
  • Create comprehensive technical documentation including work instructions, quality plans, and environmental test procedures.
  • Develop and validate testing methodologies for power delivery, motion control, and environmental qualification.
  • Build, troubleshoot, and validate prototype and production hardware in a hands-on capacity.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 8+ years of manufacturing or design engineering experience with high-reliability mechanical, electrical, or electromechanical systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver complex hardware solutions in fast-paced, resource-constrained environments.
  • Proven leadership skills including project guidance and mentoring junior engineers.
  • Experience setting up and optimizing manufacturing environments, including MBOM creation, MES integration, and Root Cause Corrective Action.
  • Proficiency with Siemens NX for CAD and Teamcenter for PLM software.
  • Hands-on experience physically manufacturing hardware such as precision machining, additive manufacturing, and electromechanical assembly.
  • Must be a U.S. Person due to required access to export-controlled information or facilities.
