JOB TITLE: Staff Content Security Engineer
The Staff Content Security Engineer joins the Content Security organization within the Studio Technology department to protect creative content throughout the production lifecycle. Reporting to the Director of Content Security Engineering, this role involves serving as a technical partner for high-risk assessments across AppSec, CloudSec, and media infrastructure. Key responsibilities include designing secure workflows for remote editing and cloud post-production, driving technical testing for APIs and third-party integrations, and defining repeatable security patterns and hardening baselines. The role requires expertise in cloud-native tools, threat modeling, and security software engineering. Candidates must demonstrate skills in architecture design, infrastructure roles, and assessing AI technology implications. The work focuses on securing creative pipelines, including digital intermediate, visual effects, encoding, and content protection solutions like DRM and watermarking.
Design and integrate security for complex systems across various platforms and cloud-native tools.
Lead technical assessments for high-risk applications, cloud security, and media infrastructure.
Advise on secure workflows for remote editing, cloud post-production, and real-time asset delivery.
Drive technical testing for custom tooling, APIs, and third-party integrations.
Define and standardize repeatable security patterns, reusable controls, and hardening baselines.
Contribute to threat modeling and framework development for studio-wide security initiatives.
Research and assess security implications for AI technology and generative AI tools.
Mentor engineers across different domains to improve security acumen and solution delivery.
What we're looking for
7+ years of experience in cybersecurity, software engineering, or infrastructure roles with architecture design and assessment experience.
Demonstrated ability to drive security improvements across multiple teams and disciplines.
Ability to translate threat models, abuse cases, and technical risk into clear recommendations and architectural input.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Experience in at least one of the following: Product security, Security engineering, Pentest, Cloud security engineering, or Security software engineering.
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, IT Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
Entertainment/media industry experience (preferred).
CISSP, CISM, or equivalent security certifications (preferred).
