Staff CAD Platform Engineer

What you'll do

• Develop, implement, and optimize the Siemens NX CAD environment including templates and role-based configurations.
• Administer NX installations, license servers, and Teamcenter PLM integrations while managing version upgrades and patches.
• Maintain standardized part families, product configurators, and reusable component libraries to ensure design consistency.
• Develop automation tools and scripts using NXOpen API and Knowledge Fusion to streamline design tasks.
• Lead root cause investigations for CAD/PLM issues and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Establish and enforce organization-wide standards for CAD modeling and PLM data entry.
• Provide technical leadership, structured training, and mentorship to engineering and design teams.
• Coordinate configuration projects with manufacturing, IT, and quality teams to ensure regulatory compliance.

What we're looking for

• 7+ years of experience in a CAD administration or NX configuration role in an engineering or production environment.
• Multi-skilled experience administering and configuring Siemens NX with advanced troubleshooting across CAD, CAM, and CAE environments.
• Experience configuring NX templates, customization files, role-based settings, and standardized environments for multi-user deployments.
• Experience creating and maintaining part families, product configurators, and reusable component libraries.
• Working knowledge of interpreting NX Logs and Sys Logs.
• Demonstrated ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and CAD/PLM technical documentation.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact with all levels of the organization.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent (preferred).
• Significant experience developing automation and customizations using NXOpen API or Knowledge Fusion (preferred).
• Experience administering Teamcenter PLM, including workflow, BOM, and access configuration (preferred).
• Experience coordinating with suppliers and engineering teams on CAD/PLM upgrades and modifications (preferred).
• Capable of obtaining U.S. Secret security clearance (preferred).
