Staff Backend Software Engineer - Agent Platform (Go/Python) joins the Agent Platform team to secure tens of millions of devices across Windows, Linux, and macOS. You will utilize Go and Python for backend services, employing gRPC, REST, GraphQL, and Kafka for communication. Your data layer includes Redis, PostgreSQL, Cassandra, and ClickHouse. The role requires operating services across AWS and GCP regions using Kubernetes, Docker, and ArgoCD to solve complex production challenges within an AI-native cybersecurity platform.

What you'll do

  • Diagnose, triage, and resolve complex production issues across multiple services in the Agent Platform.
  • Lead systematic root-cause analysis to implement durable improvements in reliability, scalability, and observability.
  • Design, develop, and operate large-scale, low-latency distributed systems processing millions of events per second.
  • Build and evolve high-throughput services for policy, configuration, and command distribution to millions of agents.
  • Refactor existing services and develop new features to enhance architectural integrity and application stability.
  • Translate business and functional requirements into robust, scalable, and operable technical solutions.
  • Monitor key metrics and improve operational visibility to maintain data integrity and system stability.
  • Evaluate and adopt new technologies to improve the platform’s scalability and operational excellence.

What we're looking for

  • 8+ years of professional backend software engineering experience.
  • Deep expertise in at least one of Go or Python.
  • Proven ability to solve complex production incidents and perform systematic root-cause analysis.
  • Experience designing, building, and operating large-scale distributed systems.
  • Experience with AWS, GCP, Docker, Helm, and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with messaging systems and data platforms such as Kafka, PostgreSQL, Redis, Cassandra, or ClickHouse.
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate across engineering teams and mentor fellow engineers.
  • Experience in an enterprise SaaS or cybersecurity software company (preferred).
