Senior Wireless Software Engineer

What you'll do

• Design, implement, test, and maintain physical and MAC layer software for the Starlink communications network.
• Architect current and next-generation hardware and signal processing algorithms.
• Perform hardware bring-up, debugging, verification, and launch activities.
• Develop prototypes to prove key design concepts and quantify technical constraints.
• Manage the full lifecycle of software including development, testing, and support.
• Execute cross-layer integration of the end-to-end system with other engineering teams.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, math, or a STEM discipline is required.
• Two years of professional software engineering experience with C or C++ may be substituted for a degree.
• Experience working with wireless software or network protocols is required.
• Knowledge of RF systems and fundamentals such as noise figure, link budget, and non-linearity is preferred.
• Experience writing software for RF/mixed-signal integrated circuits and systems is preferred.
• Familiarity with Digital Signal Processing algorithms like FFT, channel estimation, and doppler compensation is preferred.
• Experience using lab equipment including spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, signal generators, and oscilloscopes is preferred.
• Must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or have applicable status for ITAR export control compliance.
