Senior Wireless Software Engineer

What you'll do

• Design, implement, test, and maintain physical and MAC layer software for the Starlink communications network.
• Architect current and next-generation hardware and signal processing algorithms.
• Perform hardware bring-up, debugging, verification, and launch activities.
• Develop prototypes to prove key design concepts and quantify technical constraints.
• Manage the full lifecycle of software including development, testing, and ongoing support.
• Execute cross-layer integration for the end-to-end system across multiple teams.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, math, or a STEM discipline is required.
• Two years of professional software engineering experience with C or C++ may be substituted for a degree.
• Experience working with wireless software or network protocols is required.
• Knowledge of wireless communications, signal processing, and RF systems fundamentals like link budget and noise figure is preferred.
• Experience writing software for RF/mixed-signal integrated circuits and Digital Signal Processing algorithms is preferred.
• Proficiency with lab equipment such as spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, and oscilloscopes is preferred.
• Experience in physical or MAC layers of broadband technologies like Wi-Fi, LTE, 5G, or satellite broadband is preferred.
• Must be a U.S. citizen, national, lawful permanent resident, or eligible for required export control authorizations.
