As a Sr. Wireless Software Engineer (Starlink), you will join the team developing the world’s largest satellite constellation to provide global broadband internet. You will be responsible for the complete software lifecycle, including designing, implementing, testing, and maintaining physical and MAC layer software for the wireless software stack. Your daily work involves architecting next-generation hardware and signal processing algorithms, participating in hardware bring-up and debugging, and developing prototypes to quantify technical constraints. Key technical requirements include expertise in wireless communications, RF systems, and network protocols like Wi-Fi, LTE, or 5G. What you'll do

Design, implement, test, and maintain physical and MAC layer software for the Starlink wireless stack.
Architect current and next-generation Starlink hardware and signal processing algorithms.
Perform hardware bring-up, debugging, verification, and launch procedures.
Develop prototypes to prove key design concepts and quantify technical constraints.
Manage the complete software lifecycle including development, testing, and support.
Execute cross-layer integration of the end-to-end system with other engineering teams.

What we're looking for

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, math, or STEM discipline.
2+ years of professional software engineering experience programming with C or C++ in lieu of a degree.
Experience working with wireless software or network protocols.
Must be a U.S. citizen, national, lawful permanent resident, refugee, asylee, or eligible for Department of State authorization.
Strong knowledge of wireless communications, signal processing, and/or network protocols (preferred).
Knowledge of RF systems and fundamentals such as noise figure, link budget, and non-linearity (preferred).
Experience writing software for RF/mixed-signal integrated circuits and systems (preferred).
Experience with broadband access technologies such as Wi-Fi, LTE, 5G, or satellite broadband (preferred).
