What you'll do

  • Administer and maintain LAN and WAN technologies including OSPF, BGP, VRF, VLAN, VRRP, and MPLS.
  • Perform Tier 3 troubleshooting and incident resolution for complex network problems.
  • Configure and test hardware, networking software, and operating system software.
  • Analyze network traffic characteristics to recommend procurement, removals, and modifications to components.
  • Optimize network topologies and site configurations to meet user requirements.
  • Develop troubleshooting procedures and technical documentation for restoring network performance.
  • Manage boundary protection technologies including Palo Alto, Cisco ASA, and Forcepoint appliances.
  • Execute reporting functions and data input associated with network management.

What we're looking for

  • Must possess an active TS SCI with a Polygraph.
  • Must have 16 years of experience based on a combination of work history and education.
  • Must comply with DoD 8570 Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level 2.
  • Experience in configuring and troubleshooting boundary protection technologies such as Palo Alto, Cisco ASA, and Forcepoint appliances.
  • Experience with configuring and troubleshooting Juniper and Cisco routers and switches.
  • Experience with protocols such as OSPF, BGP, VPNs, VRFs, and MPLS.
  • Working knowledge of Service Now or similar IT Service Management (ITSM) products.
  • Intermediate-level knowledge of MS Office products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
