Senior Systems Engineer - Electrical

What you'll do

• Own requirements, trade studies, and simulation analysis for the satellite power system.
• Build electrical models of the satellite power system to assess solar array generation across various orbital parameters.
• Create and manage simulations to analyze vehicle power demand in different operating modes.
• Conduct trade studies to optimize the performance of the power system.
• Influence system architecture and sizing for solar arrays, batteries, power conversion, and distribution blocks.
• Translate technical constraints into actionable specifications for hardware and software teams.
• Use Matlab or Python to extract, process, and store information from large datasets.

What we're looking for

• Must be a U.S. citizen, national, permanent resident, or lawfully admitted as a refugee or granted asylum.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science.
• 5+ years of engineering experience in electrical power systems or power electronics.
• 5+ years of experience in simulation, modeling, and requirements definition for electric power system development.
• Working knowledge of Matlab or Python to process information from large datasets.
• Power system design experience in solar, battery, electric vehicle, drones, satellite, or rocket (preferred).
• Experience developing models for solar array, battery systems, and power electronics (preferred).
• Export Control Requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates.
