As a Sr. Staff Engineer, System Level Test, you will join the system test and correlation group to develop best-in-class solutions for Snapdragon products using advanced process technologies. You will be responsible for project planning, tracking deliverables, and leading innovative engineering test solutions while collaborating with cross-functional teams in digital design, software, hardware architecture, and product management. Your daily work involves defining and driving product test hardware designs, managing production test platform roadmaps, and overseeing quality improvement initiatives. The role requires expertise in semiconductor engineering, manufacturing processes, and wireless standards. Technical requirements include experience with ARM architecture, Test Sequencers, Automated Test Equipment, and Android architecture. You will utilize programming languages such as C#, Java, C++, Perl, or Python, along with source control tools like Perforce or GIT to solve complex problems in the cellular and 5G space.
Design and develop innovative system test solutions for leading-edge Snapdragon products.
Define and drive the design of product test hardware and interface with board design teams.
Lead the production test platform roadmap and manage interactions with external vendors.
Establish and track key performance indicator metrics to ensure team deliverables meet quality goals.
Manage project planning including tasks, timelines, resourcing, and budgeting for system level test projects.
Review and define test requirements while driving customer quality improvement initiatives.
Lead cross-functional teams across different geographic locations to deliver high-quality hardware solutions.
What we're looking for
Bachelor's degree with 6+ years of experience, Master's with 5+ years, or PhD with 4+ years in a relevant engineering field.
14+ years of experience in SoC or Electronics Project Management, System Test, Automation, or Computer Engineering.
Ability to define and drive product test hardware design and interface with electronics test board design and simulation teams.
Ability to lead production test platform roadmaps and interact with vendors for future platform development.
Experience as an engineering lead driving test solution development, defining requirements, and leading customer quality initiatives.
Background in semiconductor engineering, manufacturing processes, wireless standards, and the design/test of wireless products.
Ability to drive teams across different geographic locations.
Familiarity with Qualcomm chipsets, ARM architecture, ATE, Android architecture, and programming languages like C#, Java, C++, Perl, or Python (preferred).
