Sr. Specialist, Software Engineering joins the Missile Solutions segment to develop real-time embedded control and application software for defense propulsion systems. Develop real-time embedded control and application software for defense propulsion systems.
Perform requirements analysis, design, implementation, and unit testing for software products.
Integrate embedded real-time control and application software into existing systems.
Create technical documentation to support internal and customer reviews of work products.
Prepare materials and data for program milestone reviews.
Analyze software metrics to identify process gaps and develop improvement options.
Evaluate industry tools and resources to advance the growth of the software organization.
Support live hot-fire engine tests and other laboratory test activities.
What we're looking for
Bachelor's degree and 6 years of experience, a graduate degree and 4 years of experience, or 10 years of experience without a degree.
Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance.
Experience in embedded real-time software development (preferred).
Experience developing software in C/C++ (preferred).
Real-Time Operating System (RTOS) experience, such as NI Linux, Integrity, Red Hat Linux, or QNX (preferred).
Experience with communication protocols like 1553, TCP/IP, RS-422, and SPI (preferred).
Experience with UML and design tools like Enterprise Architect, Rhapsody, or Cameo (preferred).
Hardware and software integration experience; knowledge of laboratory test equipment; and familiarity with IDEs and lifecycle management tools (preferred).
