TL;DR · Senior Specialist, Electrical Engineering

The Sr. Specialist, Electrical Engineering joins the engineering team to support the design and manufacturing of Electronic Warfare products for ground and airborne-based military applications. This role focuses on power supply design, specifically requiring expertise in analog circuit design with an emphasis on DC-DC switched mode power supply development. The engineer will perform schematic capture, derating, Worst-Case Analysis, and design verification testing of engineering units. Key technical requirements include experience with fly back and feed forward DC-DC converter designs for low and high DC input power requirements. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in power conversion circuitry principles, troubleshooting electronic circuits to the component level, and overseeing PCB layout. Additionally, familiarity with design for EMI/EMC compliance is preferred for these defense technology hardware projects.

What you'll do

  • Design power supply circuits and perform schematic capture for Electronic Warfare products.
  • Conduct derating and Worst-Case Analysis (WCA) for power supply designs.
  • Develop DC-DC switched mode power supplies using fly-back and feed-forward topologies.
  • Prepare and present engineering design concepts and data results for internal reviews.
  • Conduct design verification testing on engineering units.
  • Provide technical oversight of designs through the production phase.
  • Troubleshoot electronic circuits to the component level.
  • Oversee PCB layout and ensure design for EMI/EMC compliance.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering and 4 years of related experience.
  • Graduate Degree in Electrical Engineering and 2 years of related experience.
  • Minimum of 8 years of related experience in lieu of a degree.
  • 2 years of experience supporting design or production of electronic hardware.
  • Experience troubleshooting electronic circuits to the component level.
  • Experience performing schematic capture and overseeing PCB layout.
  • Knowledge of power conversion circuitry principles including switched mode, fly-back, and feed-forward topologies.
  • Security clearance.
