Key technical competencies include microbial fermentation, viral propagation, cell culture, downstream purification, filtration, formulation, and sterile fill-finish operations. The candidate will utilize skills in statistical analysis, project management, and technical writing to drive manufacturing robustness while implementing process analytical technologies and automation solutions to enhance operational efficiency across the global production network.
Manage the optimization, troubleshooting, and lifecycle management of microbial, viral, or cell culture manufacturing processes.
Lead technical investigations and provide risk-based decision making to resolve complex production challenges and ensure supply continuity.
Execute technology transfer activities between manufacturing sites to ensure successful transition of process knowledge and performance.
Drive cross-functional initiatives for process improvement, validation, characterization, and change control.
Evaluate manufacturing hurdles regarding equipment, automation, and compliance to implement effective corrective actions.
Provide scientific leadership during deviations, CAPAs, and regulatory inspections based on data analysis and technical expertise.
Develop and implement new technologies, manufacturing platforms, and automated solutions to improve operational efficiency.
Author and approve technical protocols, study reports, validation documents, and other critical manufacturing documentation.
What we're looking for
Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific or engineering field with at least 5 years of experience, or a Master's degree with at least 3 years of experience.
Experience in vaccine/biopharmaceutical development, process development, technical support, technology transfer, process engineering, or biological manufacturing.
Strong technical writing and documentation skills combined with excellent verbal and written communication.
Demonstrated project leadership, management, and ability to lead cross-functional teams while influencing stakeholders.
Proven experience leading manufacturing investigations, root cause analyses, and making risk-based decisions in regulated environments.
Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary and global teams using data analysis and critical thinking.
