What you'll do

Design, build, and operate scalable production-grade APIs using TypeScript, Node.js, and Python.
Develop and maintain Kafka-based event-driven integrations and services.
Design and maintain relational database schemas using PostgreSQL.
Manage infrastructure as code using Terraform and maintain CI/CD pipelines via GitHub Actions.
Troubleshoot and resolve production issues while participating in an on-call rotation.
Perform technical feasibility reviews and provide feedback on proposed solution designs.
Mentor engineers through code reviews, technical discussions, and collaborative problem solving.
Establish and maintain API and event-design standards across the organization.

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
7+ years of relevant experience and 5+ years of professional software development experience.
Experience designing, building, and operating production APIs using TypeScript, Node.js, and Python.
Experience with Kafka or similar event-streaming platforms and PostgreSQL relational database schemas.
Experience implementing infrastructure as code using Terraform and managing CI/CD pipelines via GitHub Actions.
Experience supporting production systems, resolving operational issues, and participating in technical design discussions.
Experience with Azure services, Helm, Kubernetes, or modernizing Ruby on Rails or Elixir applications (preferred).
Experience working in regulated environments, mentoring engineers, or using AI-assisted development tools (preferred).
