Senior Software Engineer, Java/Spring/AWS

What you'll do

• Develop and maintain software applications using Java and the Spring/Spring Boot framework.
• Design and implement RESTful services for payment and financial systems.
• Write and maintain automated tests to ensure code quality and reliability.
• Manage source code using Git and follow established Git flow branching models.
• Utilize SQL to manage and query data across various database systems.
• Implement and manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Integrate messaging services and workflows using Kafka.
• Support modern DevOps practices to streamline software deployment and infrastructure management.

What we're looking for

• Candidates must possess eligibility to work in the United States for any employer at the date of hire.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Computer Science Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of direct experience in Software Engineering or related experience in Java development.
• Proficiency with Git source control and the Git flow branching model.
• Required proficiency with Spring/Spring Boot framework, SQL, and RESTful service design.
• Familiarity with modern DevOps practices, automated testing, Docker, Kubernetes, and Kafka.
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
• Experience in Payments, Ecommerce, or FinTech (preferred); experience with AWS Cloud, Rest/SOAP services, NoSQL, and common data formats like XML, JSON, and YAML (preferred).
