What you'll do

Design, develop, and maintain networking software and features for SONiC-based network platforms.
Develop and enhance SONiC components, services, platform interfaces, and networking applications.
Debug complex issues across the full stack from application protocols down to the switching ASIC.
Analyze packet-forwarding behavior to identify root causes in control planes, SAI, or hardware programming.
Work with ASIC vendors to resolve forwarding issues and manage hardware through SAI APIs.
Troubleshoot complex Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking protocols and technologies.
Build tools and automation to improve debugging, observability, and operational reliability of the network platform.

What we're looking for

Strong software development experience in C/C++, Python, Go, or similar systems programming languages.
Strong understanding of computer networking fundamentals and Linux systems including Linux networking.
Experience developing or working with network operating systems, switching software, routing platforms, or network infrastructure software.
Working knowledge of SONiC architecture, SAI, and network switching ASIC architecture.
Excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills to isolate problems across multiple software and hardware layers.
Strong software engineering fundamentals including data structures, concurrency, APIs, testing, source control, and software design.
10+ years of software development experience (preferred).
Experience with SONiC, SAI APIs, switching ASIC families, or large-scale network fabrics (preferred).
