Senior Software Engineer, Infrastructure Services (Control Plane)

What you'll do

• Design and scale resilient control plane software, SDN controllers, and orchestration services for thousands of network elements.
• Architect low-latency REST and gRPC APIs and state-synchronization pipelines between central planes and distributed endpoints.
• Develop modules for routing control, topology discovery, configuration generation, and policy enforcement.
• Automate network fabrics at scale to manage virtualized networks, compute, and storage.
• Triage complex distributed system failures and perform root-cause remediation based on production metrics and logs.
• Write clean, modular, and well-tested code in Go, Java, or C++ following rigorous CI/CD standards.

What we're looking for

• Proficiency in Go, Java, or C++ and experience with scripting languages like Python or Bash.
• Strong foundation in computer science fundamentals including data structures, algorithms, multithreading, and distributed system design.
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals such as TCP/IP, BGP, overlay networks, and network virtualization.
• Proficiency with Git, modern build systems, and configuration management infrastructure.
• Experience designing, developing, and operating scalable distributed systems, microservices, and high-throughput APIs using REST, gRPC, or Protobuf.
• Understanding of distributed system challenges including state consensus, eventual consistency, partition tolerance, caching, and database design.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve critical production issues in large-scale distributed environments.
• Experience with SDN controllers, network operating systems, orchestration platforms, or distributed data stores (preferred).
