Senior Software Engineer, Delivery Matching

What you'll do

• Lead the end-to-end design and execution of core platform services.
• Design robust workflow orchestration across deep, multi-tiered downstream service dependencies.
• Implement multi-layered, distributed caching strategies to minimize latency for high-concurrency microservices.
• Define key metrics and operational telemetry using dashboards and multi-tiered alerting.
• Ensure mission-critical service availability across millions of daily orders.
• Establish technical standards and align on API contracts with cross-functional engineering teams.
• Deliver high-impact technical roadmaps for the deliverability platform.

What we're looking for

• 3+ years of professional full-time software engineering experience building scalable backend platforms.
• Strong proficiency in modern backend languages, preferably Go, Java, C++, or Python (preferred).
• Deep understanding of high-throughput, low-latency microservice architectures, RESTful APIs, and gRPC/Protobuf protocols.
• Hands-on expertise with advanced caching mechanisms, concurrency control, and distributed state management.
• Experience designing workflow orchestration engines or managing intricate multi-service dependencies (preferred).
• Familiarity with geospatial indexing systems, mapping, or geofencing libraries (preferred).
• Demonstrated expertise in telemetry, distributed tracing, performance monitoring, and managing high-concurrency production incidents (preferred).
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional technical initiatives and deliver multi-phase engineering projects (preferred).
