What you'll do

  • Lead the end-to-end design of complex, scalable, and distributed software systems.
  • Translate ambiguous business problems into practical architecture, APIs, and engineering deliverables.
  • Build production-quality backend services using Python and modern API frameworks like FastAPI.
  • Develop data ingestion pipelines and manage relational databases including schemas and data lifecycles.
  • Design self-service tools and platforms to automate workflows and reduce manual processes.
  • Implement systems with robust observability, resiliency, failure handling, and operational safeguards.
  • Research and prototype new approaches for cloud-native development and agentic AI pipelines.
  • Provide technical leadership through code reviews, mentoring, and establishing engineering standards.

What we're looking for

  • 7+ years of professional software engineering experience with ownership of production systems.
  • Strong system design and architecture experience for scalable, distributed, and service-oriented systems.
  • Strong hands-on backend engineering experience with Python.
  • Experience with public cloud environments such as AWS.
  • Experience with databases and data modeling, preferably PostgreSQL or similar relational technologies.
  • Experience with Docker, CI/CD, automated testing, and production deployments.
  • Bachelor's Degree (preferred).
  • Experience with FastAPI, AWS services, async processing, or cybersecurity domain (preferred).
