Senior Software Engineer, AWS

What you'll do

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain new and existing software systems and cloud-based services.
• Translate business and technical requirements into detailed software designs and technical specifications.
• Develop and maintain applications and infrastructure-as-code within AWS environments.
• Build and support continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines for application releases.
• Implement cloud security practices including identity management, encryption, and vulnerability remediation.
• Create monitoring, alerting, and tracing dashboards to ensure application availability and performance.
• Troubleshoot complex issues across application, infrastructure, database, and network layers.
• Mentor other engineers on software design, coding practices, and cloud engineering.

What we're looking for

• Must independently possess the eligibility to work in the United States for any employer.
• Typically has 5 years of experience or a demonstrated portfolio consistent with the role's requirements.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, information systems, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience designing, developing, testing, and supporting production software applications.
• Hands-on experience developing or operating applications in AWS environments.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Java, C#, C++, Python, or JavaScript.
• Experience with SQL, relational database concepts, source-code management, and software-development lifecycle practices.
• Experience with APIs, web services, distributed systems, and AWS infrastructure-as-code practices.
