Senior Software Engineer, Applied AI

What you'll do

• Identify and prioritize business process automation opportunities using AI, intelligent workflows, and agent-based systems.
• Architect, build, and deploy production-ready AI solutions for document intelligence, decision support, and automated workflows.
• Design and implement agentic workflows that orchestrate tools, APIs, and reasoning steps to automate complex processes at scale.
• Integrate knowledge graphs to enhance reasoning, entity relationships, and multi-step context retrieval.
• Own the end-to-end lifecycle of production systems, ensuring high standards for scalability, security, and performance.
• Mentor and coach other engineers on LLM technologies, agentic workflow design, and AI best practices.
• Conduct rigorous experiments to evaluate AI models through hypothesis definition, measurement, and iterative improvement.
• Establish engineering best practices for the reliability, safety, governance, and monitoring of production AI systems.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent education or work experience.
• 4+ years of professional software engineering or applied machine learning experience.
• 1+ years of experience working with Generative AI or LLM-based systems in production.
• Proficiency in Python and modern AI frameworks like LangChain, LangGraph, LlamaIndex, Hugging Face, and OpenAI/Anthropic APIs.
• Experience designing, building, and operating production AI systems including agentic workflows and intelligent automation.
• Strong understanding of RAG, vector databases, knowledge graph integration, and distributed systems fundamentals.
• Experience mentoring engineers in AI, LLM, and agent-based system design.
• Experience with Java ecosystems (preferred); experience in regulated industries or advanced GenAI capabilities (preferred).
