Senior Software Engineer, Applied Intelligence

What you'll do

• Build native applications and systems using the full power of iOS and macOS.
• Prototype frameworks and UI to rapidly test new concepts for search and new product surfaces.
• Integrate machine learning and AI technologies into production experiences.
• Work with ML engineers to incorporate intelligent features into shipping products.
• Develop full-stack solutions including UI, application logic, and networking services.
• Integrate capabilities end-to-end by working with cross-functional teams like iCloud and Search.
• Monitor the AI landscape to identify and implement relevant new ideas.

What we're looking for

• 6+ years of experience building software solutions (frameworks, UI, services) for iOS or macOS.
• BS or MS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• Demonstrated ability to work across the full stack including UI, application logic, and networking/services.
• Track record of working cross-functionally with engineers, designers, and ML engineers to ship products.
• Experience building software that makes full use of platform capabilities (preferred).
• Familiarity with search technologies, information retrieval, or knowledge systems (preferred).
• Familiarity with ML concepts or experience integrating ML models into applications (preferred).
• Strong product focus and ability to advocate for the end user experience (preferred).
