What you'll do

Design and operate Python-based API domains and event-driven workers using the domain layer pattern.
Own the DynamoDB data model and OpenSearch indexing paths to support scalable queries.
Implement and manage a complex RBAC security model with per-program authorization and IAM policies.
Provision infrastructure, API routes, and CI/CD pipelines using TypeScript AWS CDK.
Lead security reviews to ensure alignment with organizational standards across all layers.
Write unit and integration tests while maintaining high code quality through automated linting and peer reviews.
Manage the deployment pipeline and provide on-call operational support for production services.

What we're looking for

Candidates must be a U.S. citizen, national, permanent resident, or granted asylum/refugee status for export control compliance.
7+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
7+ years of programming with at least one software programming language.
5+ years of leading design or architecture of new and existing systems.
Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering team.
Experience in Python, AWS serverless services (Lambda, DynamoDB, API Gateway, IAM), and designing REST APIs.
Experience writing clean code, automated tests, and managing security/access control.
Master's degree in computer science, CI/CD experience, or AWS Professional certification (preferred).
