What you'll do

Design and implement key components for ingesting and maintaining petabytes of customer profile data.
Develop high-performance data ingestion pipelines to handle both streaming and batch processing.
Create storage models using various file and table formats to support massive ingestion volumes.
Deploy production services and iteratively improve them based on direct customer feedback.
Participate in architecture, design, and code reviews for core service components.
Build resilient data systems using open-source technologies like Spark, Kafka, or NoSQL databases.
Execute development tasks within an Agile framework using industry-leading CI/CD pipelines.

What we're looking for

A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field is required.
Candidates must have 5+ years of experience in the role offered or in a Software Development Engineer-related occupation.
Strong programming skills with extensive experience in Java or Scala are required.
Experience with distributed processing systems such as Apache Spark, Hadoop Stack, or Apache Kafka is required.
Experience with Data Lake cloud storages like Azure Data Lake Storage or AWS S3 is required.
Knowledge of file formats like Apache Parquet and table formats like Databricks Delta, Apache Iceberg, or Apache Hudi is preferred.
Understanding of NoSQL databases such as Apache HBase, Cassandra, Mongo, or Azure Cosmos DB is a plus.
Practical experience in building resilient data pipelines at scale is preferred.
