As a Sr. RF Engineer (Starlink), you will join the team responsible for developing advanced broadband internet systems and satellite constellation technology. You will take full ownership of phased array, Wi-Fi, and other RF systems for customer-facing hardware, as well as advanced parabolic antenna systems for gateways and ground stations. Your daily responsibilities include designing, fabricating, and characterizing prototypes of antennas, feed systems, and RF front ends while creating electromagnetic simulation models for filters and PCB layouts. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop design validation and production test solutions. The role requires expertise in radio test equipment like spectrum analyzers and network analyzers, along with proficiency in Python, C#, C++, or MATLAB. This position addresses the technical challenges of providing reliable satellite communications and high-volume consumer wireless product manufacturing.

What you'll do

Design, fabricate, and characterize prototypes of antennas, feed systems, and RF front ends.
Create electromagnetic simulation models for hardware including antennas, filters, and PCB layouts.
Develop and test phased array alignment solutions.
Create design validation and production test solutions for high-volume consumer products.
Write Python automation software to interact with units under test and instrumentation.
Own the development of phased array, Wi-Fi, and parabolic antenna systems for gateways and consumer hardware.

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or another engineering discipline.
5+ years of professional RF experience with antennas or communication systems.
5+ years of professional experience with radio test equipment like spectrum analyzers and network analyzers.
5+ years of professional programming experience in Python, C#, C++, or MATLAB.
Master's degree or PhD in electrical engineering with an emphasis on RF/antenna engineering is preferred.
Experience designing wireless communication systems and understanding link budgets and antenna theory.
Ability to work extended hours or weekends as needed for mission critical deadlines.
Must be a U.S. citizen, national, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee per ITAR regulations.
