As an Antenna Engineer (Starlink), you will join the team responsible for the world’s largest satellite constellation to provide global broadband internet. You will have full ownership of phased array, Wi-Fi, and other RF systems for customer-facing hardware, as well as advanced parabolic antenna systems for regional gateways. Your daily responsibilities include designing, fabricating, and characterizing prototypes of antennas, feed systems, and RF front ends. You will create electromagnetic simulation models for hardware, develop production test solutions, and write automation software. The role requires proficiency with radio test equipment like spectrum analyzers and vector signal generators, along with programming in Python, C#, C++, or MATLAB. What you'll do

Design, fabricate, and characterize prototypes of antennas, feed systems, and RF front ends.
Create electromagnetic simulation models for hardware including antennas, filters, and PCB layouts.
Design, implement, and verify small router antennas, phased arrays, and reflector antenna systems.
Develop and test phased array alignment solutions for satellite and gateway systems.
Create and test production test solutions for high-volume consumer products and gateway antennas.
Write Python automation software to interact with units under test and test equipment.
Own all phased array, Wi-Fi, and RF systems for customer-facing hardware.

What we're looking for

Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or other engineering discipline.
1+ years of experience with antennas or communication systems.
1+ years of experience with radio test equipment such as spectrum analyzers and vector signal generators.
1+ years of programming experience in Python, C#, C++, or MATLAB.
Master’s degree or PhD in electrical engineering with emphasis in RF/antenna engineering (preferred).
Experience designing wireless communications systems (preferred).
Experience with antenna theory, link budgets, and RF active/passive components (preferred).
U.S. citizen, national, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee eligible for Department of State authorization.
