The Sr. RF DVT Engineer joins the silicon design team to support the Amazon Leo initiative, which focuses on launching a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites for broadband connectivity. Daily responsibilities include developing and executing RF DVT test scripts in Python, debugging RFICs to optimize radio performance, and assembling microwave test setups for conducted and radiated measurements. You will collaborate with RFIC designers and systems engineers to generate design reports and manage test automation code using Git. Required expertise includes experience with spectrum analyzers, vector signal generators, and network analyzers, alongside knowledge of OFDMA, TDMA, CDMA, MIMO, and end-to-end network system architecture.

What you'll do

Characterize, optimize, and validate millimeter wave RF-Digital SoCs for phased array systems.
Perform RF bench testing and debugging to achieve optimum wireless SoC performance.
Specify procedures and calibrate microwave and RF test setups in an engineering lab.
Develop and execute RF DVT test scripts in Python for RFIC characterization.
Automate data collection and manage test automation code using Git or other source control tools.
Set up RF test benches for conducted and radiated measurements.
Generate RF design, verification, and test reports for engineering and integration teams.

What we're looking for

Candidates must be a U.S. citizen, national, permanent resident, refugee, or granted asylum.
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field (preferred).
8+ years of experience with RF measurement equipment including power meters, spectrum analyzers, vector signal generators, network analyzers, and oscilloscopes.
Experience in communication theory, OFDM, MIMO, Digital/Wireless Communication Systems, or RF engineering.
Knowledge of multiple access systems including OFDMA, TDMA, and CDMA.
Knowledge of end-to-end network system architecture from wireless physical layer to application endpoints.
