What you'll do

  • Own the end-to-end product strategy for traffic classification, prioritization, shaping, and congestion management.
  • Define the performance metrics framework including SLAs, SLOs, and KPIs for throughput, latency, jitter, and packet loss.
  • Partner with engineers to implement network performance capabilities across satellite, ground gateway, and SDN layers.
  • Write PRFAQs, technical narratives, and requirement documents to align leadership on the product roadmap.
  • Translate customer performance requirements from sales and demand management into specific product features.
  • Establish acceptance criteria and performance gates to ensure QoS compliance before customer-facing releases.
  • Coordinate with Beam Planning and Satellite Operations teams to optimize resource allocation and minimize network congestion.

What we're looking for

  • Experience owning and driving roadmap strategy and definition.
  • Experience contributing to engineering discussions regarding technology decisions and product strategy.
  • Experience representing and advocating for critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level planning.
  • Experience defining and managing SLAs/SLOs for networking or cloud services.
  • Strong understanding of network performance fundamentals including IP DSCP, L2 CoS, traffic classification, shaping, and queuing disciplines.
  • Track record of writing technical requirements documents, PRFAQs, or product specifications.
  • Experience communicating with diverse stakeholders and using data analytics to identify problems (preferred).
  • Experience working across teams, satellite communications, or in customer-facing roles at cloud/telecom companies (preferred).
  • Must be a U.S. citizen, national, permanent resident, or lawfully admitted as a refugee or granted asylum for export control compliance.
