As a Sr Principal Software Engineer - Applied AI Engineering within the Commercial and Investment Bank Payments Technology team, you will lead the execution and operationalization of AI-powered solutions across the software and product development life cycles. Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 10+ years of applied experience.
Expertise in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field.
Deep expertise in AI/LLMs and their application to software engineering workflows including coding, design, security, testing, and release.
Hands-on experience with agentic systems, tool/skill orchestration, and integration patterns like MCP, A2A, and function/tool calling.
Proven ability to lead cross-functional engineering delivery, roadmap definition, and stakeholder alignment across highly matrixed organizations.
Experience leading multi-organization adoption of agentic AI-enabled engineering operating models, including governance, measurement frameworks, and secure data handling.
Deep understanding of responsible AI risk, controls, and resiliency/security expectations at scale.
Experience with hiring, developing, and recognizing talent.
