The Sr Principal Architect- HW Performance joins the Infrastructure Platforms team to influence the target state architecture and strategy for the firm's on-premises compute ecosystem. This role involves leading architecture strategy across multiple technology domains, including bare-metal provisioning, hypervisor platforms like VMware, KVM, or Hyper-V, and container orchestration using Kubernetes or OpenShift. You will build infrastructure-as-code standards, establish zero-trust security models, and drive the adoption of AI capabilities for architecture workflows. What we're looking for
Formal training or certification on architecture concepts and 10+ years of applied experience.
Extensive experience leading infrastructure or platform architecture initiatives at a Senior Principal Architect, Distinguished Engineer, or Chief Architect level.
Deep expertise in on-premises compute infrastructure, including bare-metal provisioning, hypervisor technologies (VMware, KVM, or Hyper-V), and virtual machine lifecycle management.
Practical experience delivering system design, platform engineering, application development, testing, and operational stability across complex infrastructure environments.
Production experience designing and operating Kubernetes, OpenShift, or similar container platforms at scale.
Deep understanding of datacenter networking, including software-defined networking, network virtualization, and physical-to-logical network abstraction.
Expertise in infrastructure identity and security architecture, including hardware attestation, workload identity frameworks, and zero-trust principles.
Demonstrated experience leading architecture governance, design reviews, and the safe adoption of enterprise-authorized AI capabilities.
