As a Sr Principal Architect- HW Performance within the Infrastructure Platforms team, you will provide specialized expertise to influence target state architecture and strategy for the firm's on-premises compute ecosystem. You will lead architectural strategy across domains including bare-metal provisioning, hypervisor platforms like VMware or KVM, virtual machine lifecycle management, container orchestration via Kubernetes or OpenShift, and software-defined networking. Your role involves driving infrastructure identity, zero-trust security models, and the integration of accelerator technologies such as GPUs, DPUs, and IPUs into the compute platform. What we're looking for
Formal training or certification on architecture concepts and 10+ years of applied experience.
Extensive experience leading infrastructure or platform architecture initiatives in large-scale organizations at a Senior Principal or Chief Architect level.
Deep expertise in on-premises compute infrastructure, including bare-metal provisioning, hypervisor technologies (VMware, KVM, Hyper-V), and virtual machine lifecycle management.
Production experience designing and operating Kubernetes, OpenShift, or similar container platforms with multi-tenancy and workload orchestration at scale.
Deep understanding of datacenter networking, software-defined networking, network virtualization, and physical-to-logical network abstraction.
Expertise in infrastructure identity and security architecture, including hardware attestation, workload identity frameworks, and zero-trust principles.
Demonstrated experience leading architecture governance, design reviews, and translating regulatory requirements into architectural standards.
Experience with sovereign cloud, air-gapped environments, storage architecture, or disaster recovery strategies (preferred).
